Marvin Moeller for
Sugarcreek Township Trustee

Marvins Vision for Sugarcreek

As your Township Trustee my mission has always been to be transparent and have honest and open communications. To strengthen our public safety forces such as police and fire and maintaining the high standards you expect and deserve. Keep providing excellent road services to our community. To continue working with the city of Bellbrook to combine the two fire departments, as it was in the past, to save everyone their hard-earned tax dollars. Work tirelessly to engage and get input from our community in all services provided by the Township. Continue working with the Township staff and department heads on finding ways to hold down cost and improve efficiency in every way. I will prevent any future annexations by collaborating with property and business owners. We need to preserve our Township Identity and make sure everyone knows and understands they live in Sugarcreek Township regardless of their zip codes. With proven experience and a clear vision, I will keep leading Sugarcreek Township toward a prosperous and transparent future.

Keep Moving Forward with Moeller

Working as a team, your Board of Sugarcreek Trustees, Carolyn, Fred and myself have accomplished many great thinks for the Township over the past 4 years. Here is a partial list of accomplishments or on-going project in the Township

  1. Working with the Ohio Fire Chief, we are doing a feasibility study to see what is the possibility of joining the Sugarcreek and Bellbrook Fire Departments together as it was in the past to increase efficiency, and to reduce the financial burden on taxpayers.
  2. Working with the City of Centerville to fix the traffic congestion problems at the I-675, Wilmington Pike, Feedwire Rd street grid. Over the past 3 years we have worked with Senator Mike Turner’s office and have been able to acquire 3 million dollars to start phase one of the five phases needed to fix the problem.
  3. We proudly dedicated Veterans Park, honoring one of our own township residents. The township took ownership of the project to complete the memorial, funding it in part through the sale of land bequeathed to the township by the honoree.
  4. Through our strategic planning, we successfully acquired a new ladder truck, medic unit, and fire engine for the Fire Department without exceeding the budget
  5. The same strategy over the past three years have allow the purchase of four new police cruisers and a dump truck for the service department, and while staying well with the department’s budgets.
  6. We facilitated quarterly meetings now being held among the Township, the City of Bellbrook, the School Board, and the Park District to identify opportunities for collaboration on projects and future planning, with a focus on cost-sharing and efficiency.
  7. With the American Rescue Plan, we received monies from the Federal government to help our community. We used this money to place high-speed internet throughout Sugarcreek Township. This effort is ongoing and many areas have already received this enhancement. We are also using this money to fund road paving projects.
  8. We have forged strong relationships with neighboring local governments, including the City of Centerville, with which we had several legal disputes with five years ago. Additionally, we are collaborating with townships in Greene and Warren Counties to jointly undertake road and service projects, reducing costs and enhancing cooperation.
  9. Over the past three years there have been two new parks opened up in Sugarcreek Township bringing our total acres of parks in the Township close to 1,900 acres.
  10. We are working with the County Water Department to bring municipal water service to the Mead Road and River Ridge developments to provide good drinking water and fire protections to these areas.

These are just a few of the great things that have happen in Sugarcreek Township over the past 3 years working together as a team while staying well with-in the budget.

As a member of the Sugarcreek Township Board of Trustees, I have worked tirelessly with my colleagues to achieve our shared vision: making Sugarcreek Township the best place to live and raise a family. Our collective efforts have driven significant progress, and none of this would have been possible without our commitment to collaboration and community.

On November 4th, I am seeking re-election as your Trustee. As a lifelong resident of Sugarcreek Township, I have dedicated nearly 50 years to serving our community—beginning as a firefighter/paramedic, advancing to the first Fire Chief for Sugarcreek, and now proudly serving as your Trustee. These roles have shaped my commitment to our township’s growth and prosperity.

I respectfully ask for your vote to continue serving as your Trustee for another four years. Together, we can keep moving forward. Support Marvin Moeller as your trusted Sugarcreek Township Trustee.
